Title: skyway tuff 2's with metal hub

If you have the metal hub tuff 2's with a coaster brake can they be converted to a real freewheell'thanks

They can, there was a dongle you could add somewhere that makes them freewheel which you used to be able to buy from your local bike shop.

Another 'i know it can be done but not sure where you get the bit' post there, sorry.

Yes it can be done, the early Tuff II had steel front hubs & steel rear hubs with a cassette type freewheel, I had some of these & the freewheel was not working so I removed it & fitted a Suntour coaster break, so the shell is the same, its just finding one of these early cassette freewheels is the problem  :-\

Your other option would be to fit a freecoaster freewheel which you can get, its made by ACS, I may even have one somewhere  ???

Or removed the hub & fit some replacement Alloy hubs which take a screw on freewheel.

Or get one of these from Alans, only a tenner plus post and dead easy to fit...

You replace the one on the coaster where the sprocket is fixed & screw a freewheel onto it  :daumenhoch:
