Title: rust and corrosion removal

well today i started rebuild on turbo for my car , called the recon Co as they surplyed parts to me was talkin to the guy who said i realy need to acid dip the center part to clean it out properly , he then gave me a very good little tip for de gungein n rust removal .................. use vinigar n scrub with a small stiff brush   :shocked: well i tryed it n dam me it works very well took all the rust off  and all the burnt on oil
now im not sure if it will damage chrome or not but it works for gettin rust off

Vinegar works a treat, i had these hubs soaking in vinegar for 4 days before i polished them...

Not quite finished yet,

Vinegar does work, use white vinegar throw in a few odds and ends and after a few days the vinegar is brown...  :buck2:

Citric Acid also works well or so I'm told, great for bare aluminium as removes the oxidation build up really well  :daumenhoch:
