Just pulled the trigger on this bad boy on ebay. :smitten:
BIN was $425.00 (not too bad a price) I couldn't resist, I have a thing for candy apple red. It needs a black suede seat and some black grips and a new brake lever. The gold block stem does not look to be mongoose, maybe a knock off, but everything else is top notch.
Now I have 2 gooses - the other one will have to go...arggg. I'm temped to put my black tuff I's on the Team Goose, Candy red w/ black tuff's always looks great and I love Tuff's and hate spokes if they're dull looking which these are. I do love chrome spokes though - sparkle, sparkle.

That goose is the bollox, and I hate old school bikes - maybe its just ones newer than that that i hate though.
I hope it wasn't my fault getting you the bug to get back into bikes
-
Nice catch ;)
Love my gooses too
that one is built up with loads of different parts , but works well
it'll look even better , with what you've got planned for it :4_17_5:
It's a pity you don't live in the UK , I'd have made an offer on your goose you getting rid of :(

:smitten: thats a nice buy :daumenhoch:

Nice find Damon - I like it 8)
I'd have gone for that myself if i'd have spotted it, even with the postage costs to the UK :LolLolLolLol:
Frame n forks looks mint ;)
What year is she mate, 79? 80?
-
Very nice, loving the tyres - a great old school pairing with that goose and look so right :daumenhoch:
-
cheers lads - (you're all up late).
John - THE SERIAL NUMBER IS T CE9 165000 1979 right? What do you make of that stem? Def. a knock off right? (no allen bolts on top)
It hasn't arrived yet, hoping whoever re-painted this did a good job, hard to tell from the pic on the bay.
Like I said, add a black suede seat and some black grips and she'll be sweet. Tuff' I's or keep the Araya's on her???
-
I like the gold rims on it, lose the yellow as you said and she's sweet.

Seems like a great buy to me, but I love a goose.
Very nice bike.

Yeah the stem looks abit funky mate - base plate looks a little too thick :-\
But it's jhard to tell with the picture mate - could just be the lighting - get some more pics up when she arrives ;)
Oh and yeah MAY'79 frame - nice.
-
Nice looking bike that. It is a team bike too so good catch there.
The stem could be on of the ones used on the anniversary bikes.
Mine for ref
