Got a little bit of spare money hopefully coming my way this month...
Thinking about buying myself something for my bike to improve it. There are three areas (excluding the wheels) where I could improve as they are all quite heavy and I'm wondering what you the thoughts are on this from the Rad massive.
Those three are:
Forks - Using some made from Scaffolding poles at the moment
Cranks - Seem to be solid steel
Seat and post - Looks like a matteress perched on another scaffolding pole.
Thinking that either the crank or seat&post might be best to help me with my hops since I can't get the back wheel off the ground much (I know a lot of it is down to technique)
Any thoughts welcome on which might be best to upgrade in terms of which will have the most impact on my riding or I will notice the most? haven';t got a massive budget and think that Cranks might be a little too much at the moment unless they will have a big impact.
Cheers.

Glen - good point!
Its new school and I mainly use it for park (and street) although I may do some trails and racing but mainly park.

Currently based around a Proper TTL frame and United Nathan Grande bars. Rest of it is basic parts from a standard parts kit.
Budget is about £80 max.
(After Burnley on Sunday the chainring is properly bent as well!!!)

What forks have you got on there at the moment Barnaby.

Now that IS good service - :daumenhoch:
Looks like the general thought is forks rather than anything else -was keen on a new seat and post but can see the logic here.
Dave - you do those in white?
-
If your seat breaks, you'd probably live
your forks, probably not
-
Now you put it that way... I can see where you are coming from! :2funny:
-
see if uncle stodge can sort you forks, pivotal post and pivotal seat for near to your £80? :daumenhoch:
maybe he's got a pivotal post unbranded off of a complete lying around?
-
The Macneils were only available in Black, Bronze or Orange unfortunately - but I'm sure we could sort you something else in white me old poppet.
