Was just on another fourm i go on called MXTrax. its forum just like this but for motocross. on there they had a thread called 'worst bikes' and that got me thinking about riding BMX. just wanted to know what bike you thought was a waste of money for reason's like wouldnt ride nice, cracks, flexing, heaviness etc.
For me it would have to be a 2006 Felt Sector. When i got it, it was my first really proper entry level race bike and for the first 2-3 weeks i thought it was the nuts but as soon as i raced it more and more it felt slow, heavy, wheels would barley go round (even though they were sealed!) as soon as you touch the stem (for tightning or adjustment) the headset would muff up and the geometry felt all over the joint!, then i became owner of an '05 Haro SX20 Pro XL with C4 Carbon forks and it felt minty too ride! within 2 club nights i had moved up 2 formula's!!

Not really had many bad bikes probably the heaviest was my 1st a tuff burner...s'pose looking back I have a bit of affection for it...favorite looking bike was probs my pro burner mk1,prone to cracking but really nippy to ride as a youngster, best bike skyway TA or my old supergoose.

Prototype Burner that Raleigh gave a select few to test before they released them to the poor ususpecting public.
Jumped it off a roof at school and killed it >:D
:) DINGO :)

halfords turbo, never owned one but had a go on one, as bad as the first burners...... :2gunsfiring_v1:

so many! but BMX it has to be Burner MKII, i had a MKI which was bad enough but those MKII things were dreadfull! any generic cheap MTB with a quill stem and flat bars, they ride twitchier than bill oddy!

Raleigh actually made prototypes of the Burners?! How come all the production Burners were still wrong uns?!

Never really had a burner etc as most of my bikes were race bikes, but in that genre the worst for me was a Redline Carrera or GT Cruiser. Hated both of them equally.
-
Piranha with the heavy mags. :yahoo_silent:

Just remembered worst bike was a mates TENSOR 'BMX MAGNUM' BY 'Velo' SCHAUFF. first bike I ever had a blast on the welding was like pigeon pap.
Had the desired effect though and made me want a bike.

An Apollo Blizzard ATB from Halfords....
I loved my old Puch Invader, but my brother snapped it at the BB shell. If I'd known that for anothet £15- £20 I could've had a Silver Fox or an Ammoco...sheesh.
As RAD BMX is my witness (inspirational music in the background please, my right hand on a copy of BMX Actionbike), I will now swear that my kid, arriving June, will NOT suffer such cycle related embarrassment and WILL have fine bicycles only.
So there.

My old Team Murry - Heavy - wheels we like lead - They bent alot and I snapped the frame
Asco Pro Turbo - Snapped that as well

Was that the blue one with the all black tyres and chrome rims, same chain wheel as the entry level burners, i think chrome forks and bars?
I'm interested as my mate had one very early 80's never seen another or heard mention of one.

My 1st bike was a straton it was as heavy as a volvo full of fat people would love to see a picture of one :smitten:
Only time it made it up a hill was when it was in the back of my dads van
-
My worst BMX is also one I enjoy riding, My Haro 2006 retro Sport...
I was riding a 2008 Retro ripper the other day and then I got the 2006 sport out and the first thing I thought was fook, if I had a ship I could use this as an anchor...
I still like it though.
Ray.
