What do you lot think of this idea? Think it will catch on?
-
Don't know about the bike but that picture of Lunny's one hand one footer is awesome! It's almost a carbon copy of the one he did at the Chingford Jam 20 odd years ago, super stretched, super stylish!

As i have said before in other threads on this bike, I find it confusing and dont know how anyone can define it as a bmx as we have 24" single speed MTB's with rigid forks so this bike is bang in the middle of a 20" bmx and a 24" MTB so which is it MTB or BMX???
Yes i know we have 24" cruisers too :LolLolLolLol:
I have nothing against it and poss there is a market for it as i'm sure it will suit some peeps but it confuses the 2 sports imo
In the past i have heard people say that sooner or later it will be just bike riding not bmx mtb freeride etc and this bike demonstrates that philosophy as its no more a bmx as it is a MTB.
-
No, because people will have too much trouble getting tyres and tubes.

Here`s a few bits discussed previously...
-
Lunny could pull those moves on an old ladies shopping bike.....
-
:) I`m still not convinced that these are breaking any new ground. The idea seems like the stupid things with a mag wheel and skateboard wheel toys that have been about for years...
-
It looks comfy though...

You're not wrong there dude.....b@stard :D
I've always said, one of THE most naturally talented riders I have ever seen!

Don't care about these either way, just don't think it's necessary to introduce even more wheel standards when we are perfectly happy rolling and racing on 20"s and 24"s.
Just something else unnecessary for people to spend their money on I suppose.
-
well since the last thread they've updated the website and given a bit of insight about the idea behind the 22" wheeled bike.
personally i think the bikes look great, would i buy one? probably not, but not because it's a weird 22" but because there's not much in the way of tyres or fork options right now, maybe in future there will be.
might drop em a line see if they can get down to the novice night with a demo model for the old boys to try out.

That's a great idea Joe :daumenhoch:
sent em an email, doesn't hurt to ask does it, and they get their product seen in the flesh by some people who will at least have an opinion one way or another.

creation in brum
28th feb
7 til 11
then curry after if you like it spicey.
-
just be warned,
i'll openly rip the arse out of anyone daft enough to actually buy one of these gimmicks.
-
warning noted. can't afford one anyway.
if we can get them to come along can we at least have a go without bring down the wrath of darkersomeday upon us?
:daumenhoch:
-
where you live Glen?
someone from you way might be coming.
-
can we at least have a go without bring down the wrath of darkersomeday upon us?
:daumenhoch:
no,
not if i cant have a cigarette.

:daumenhoch:
no,
not if i cant have a cigarette.
go on smoke up.
remember giving up smoking might add days on to your life, you'll live longer, but those extra days don't come now, they come at the end, when you are lying in horrible pain and want to die you'll have to endure those extra days then, so why bother? :daumenhoch:
ps: i am actually anti smoking, and clearly smoking is not big or clever and my dad might have seen is 64th birthday had he not smoked. but i understand from those that do it that it is a actually "good" and makes you look "cool".
but you are to be applauded for giving up...go on just one won't hurt. >:D

recently,
very recently,
i want to break something.
if i had a dog i'd kick it in the balls.
"22 bmx's :knuppel2:

just got an email back from Keith at Faction he thinks it's be great to bring a few of their bikes along for us to have a go on.
just waiting to confirm as I think he thought it was 28th Jan not Feb.
he's joined up here to see what we have to say too, he's interested in our views be they good or bad.
:daumenhoch:
-
ask in the main thread in members events etc.
someone will be coming your way, and a lot further too.
-
keith just confirmed there will be 3 x 22" Factions at the novice night for us to have a go on.
being selfish when he asked what side for pegs and rear brake on one i said left, but we can swap em around on the night i'm sure.
should be fun and be a bit more of a talking point. :daumenhoch:

thats a top job Joe, well done mate :daumenhoch:
as for the bikes themselves... i like them, they look cool but i would prefer if they had a mid bb and a intergrated headset ;)
