Title: chainring advice

my daughter has a mid school mongoose with a 1 piece crank,she has started riding at the local scate park and wants a
small chainring like all her mates,but i know nothing about new school so what will we need to do,ie what is the smallest you can put on a 1 piece crank and what size freewheel would we need

i think she has 44-16 but like i say i know nothing about new school :-[

as stated a 33 13 would be about right but the 13t freewheels aret all that reliable from what im aware unless it has a flip flop hub(threads on both sides of the hub) then the freewheel is abit better.

 Ran an Odyssey 13T for 2 years with no problems,only changed because I got a cassette hub.Check what rear hub you have,seen plenty of clueless peeps with a 16t rear and 25t front!

i stand corrected re freewheel just going by what iv been told,we have loads of locals running that kind of ratio tis quite amusing to watch tho ;D
