Someone recently mentioned they bought 2 fake deep H stems, is there any way to check its real or were they exact copies?

I've got a copy deep H stem.the top plate is "deep H" but the lower half is still unangled like a western H stem .hope that makes sense.
-
nope, doesn't look like mine,it looks to me like it's angled, with a recess to take the 2 n 1 head lock.
-
looks genuine to me, but then again '86 was the last time i had one :(
-
the genuines have a recess for the stem bolt washer to live in snug ..... the snides do not have the recess :daumenhoch:
ade :crazy2:

Got a pic? I got sent these from a dude who might sell it to me. What you think?

snide .... gen's don't have that channel running across the top cap :daumenhoch:

glen, pm Lee radkecks or Mat matsybeat for another opinion mate ... them pic's look iffy :police:
ade :daumenhoch:

looks genuine that one.

It could be a marriage - a genuine base with a snide cap? Base looks right enough but the cap looks pretty poor (and a lot newer) - the recessed 'H' is all over the shop.
Just my opinion, though :daumenhoch:

yep that "H" (top section) dont look right , but the shaft section does tho , does it have a rebate on the underside for the 2n1 to fit in ?? ... the "wetsern" H has a straight angled shaft and no rebate
