Title: Alex Rims ?
Post by: bobafett on February 05, 2009, 10:07 PM
I just picked up a complete '84 bike but the wheels had been replaced with alex 303 rims on quando hubs - i'm assuming these are probably mid school but i was wondering exactly which era they are from ?
They're in really nice condition - nice and light and spin forever !!!
Thinking i'll use them on a rider since they spin so nice  :daumenhoch:

Any info guys   ???

i maybe wrong but i think 'Quando' hubs are cheap generic open bearing hubs that are pretty newish (last 6 years or so)  :-\

Recent but very, very good. As bobafett says, they really do seem to spin forever.

I race a set of Y303's on DB sealed hubs on my old school bike, they run very nice! and the rims are almost buckle proof! done some nasty mistake's in practise at MK08, thought i buckled them, so came back to the pits checked the bike all over and the wheels didnt even have a slight buckle!
