Hi All,
The soles on my shoes are starting to get a bit worn. THink it's about time I got a new pair before I start slipping pedals!
I've been wearing Etnies for years, but they appear to be veering more towards fashion shoes than those designed specifically for BMX, so I was thinking of looking for something else.
Can anyone recommend any in particular?
Cheers! :daumenhoch:

Can't really go wrong with a set of Vans. Plenty of styles to choose from.
Despite what people's feelings are about Nike entering BMX, their 6.0 shoes are designed for skating and riding. I've got a couple of pairs of Air Mogens which grip a pedal well enough.

Thanks guys.
Just took a look on the Nike 6.0 website. Damn they're ugly!! ;D
Seen a few Vans models I've not seen before.
Anyone using DC Breakers?

had a few pairs of DC's although not breakers......but they were/are great to ride in :daumenhoch:

I use a pair of DC Lynx 2 and a pair of DC Dyrdek skate shoes, the Dyrdeks are probably a bit better.
the Lynx have a nice spongy heel not needed for riding really and the little DC badge in the sole by the heel feel out then water (if you use them off your bike) can get into the shoe.

Vans TNT II - thats it.

Adio, slightly better quality and comfort than DC, although the DC spartan/command variants are pretty good. I will never wear O/S vans for serious riding after shattering my heel in em, not saying the outcome would have definately been different in a modern pair of sneaks but I cant help but think it would :daumenhoch:
Go for max protection I say :daumenhoch:

Maybe too feckin grippy!!

I have a Pair of DC Command and Breaker and both are lovely for riding in, the commands are a bit more padded all round compared to the breakers.
I have also ridden in Vans Whip (guettler sig) trainers in the past and they too are very nice and grippy, not too thin a sole either
Cheers
