Title: tedious but worth it
Post by: gavprimo on February 09, 2009, 08:00 PM: No, not reading all 16 pages of 'a cracking good night' but masking up and painting your bars so that they don't look so scabby

old set of snafu sushi bars, given a newish lease of life (ie they still don't look great too close up). The missus said they should now be called gay bars, but I don't care, and I know there's at least one person on here who will love them for their 'burnsness' ;)

yeah, that's who I meant when I said there'd definitely be one person that liked them. Sean Burns originally hand painted an entire frame while he was injured a few years ago

Post by: gavprimo on February 11, 2009, 02:12 PM: Ah well, funny thing there, I've just bought some Fly Mike Day signature bars from my mate and so the sushi's will be surplus to requirements, I wil be painting up the new bars but proabably take more time over it to try to get a better finish

so they could be up for grabs for a very reasonable* amount

* cheap as chips plus a bit of postage

Post by: gavprimo on February 12, 2009, 10:56 PM: ah well the seat was stripped before and covered with black leccy tape, I put the fur on and it looked quite good but has already started to fray after I bailed it the other night. I'm after an offcut of black leather or suede instead now

honestly, the bars paint job isn't fantastic, but feel free to make me an offer if you're interested, they aren't that heavy and are about 26 inches wide, 7.25 inch rise

But they look the buizz, sure somone will have them.
Suede saddle would be cool too or i guess leather :)
