It came on an oldschool bike but i'm thinking midschool - says Kashimax RS on the inside and has 4 gold stars ? Nice and padded and comfy though so i think it's destined for one of me riders ;)

Just above the four stars there is a date stamp, you should be able to tell from that, lookign a the style I'd say late 80's early 90's. The Four Star Gold is a track bike seat mostly used in Kierin racing :daumenhoch:.

Right - had another look inside the guts and assuming the date ring thingy has the year arrow on the inside then it's an '85 :-\
Also had a sniff around on some other sites and it seems the "RS" also cam in an unpadded version with a shit load of holes for the haro fusion range and also without so many holes for diamond back ?
Ah well it's nice and comfy and if it's an '85 that's era correct enough for me on an '84 rider :daumenhoch:
