Right im returning to racing 40plus yes a old boy ...
joined the gym 2 weeks ago been doing cardio stuff abit of weights , have avarage level of fitness but seem to be lost in what i need to do so need help
i have a bad shoulder with very little movement in it so limited to what free weigts i can do
at the moment its ex bike , running , rowing , cross training , ben doing sprints in the ex bike hi intence on the rower with on bicep dumbell curls a machine u push away from urselve with light weight and tri pull down
ANY IDEAS WOULD REALLY HELLO TILL I CAN GET OUT ON MY BIKE

i walk past it lol as for training if u can find a mtb with a good sholder position for u then that will get u out and about and when u get back to the bmx just do a hour or so of sprinting out on the streets.

Mostly stroll about,eyeing up women,then off for a piss in the showers & see if there`s anything worth pinching from the changing room lockers.

Not been to a gym in over 12 years. Just try to ride my bike once or twice a week.

i'm with Heywood, gym's for posers....only training needed is eat loads of junk food, lots of fizzy drinks, then ride every sunday :daumenhoch: fitness will come, nothing works you out better than a gold old race meeting :4_17_5:

avoid gym, n expensive overheads......ride everything as much as poss........ >:D

riding is great for arms, legs and mid-rif, buttocks etc etc
and thats both types of riding :LolLolLolLol:

Look up PLYOMETRICS. Its a great way of using your own body weight for Cardio fitness, and increasing speed.
Watch Rocky 2 on a weekly basis, buy some chickens for chasing and raw egg swallowing for Protein instead of those ghastly shakes.
Remember what Mickey says "Think Speeeeeeeeeeeed kid!!"
