Dear guests,
After 6 years of collecting Old School BMX bikes and stuff I now have founded BMX Museum NL in The Netherlands.
MR BMX for the Netherlands Gerrit Does did the opening of this museum in Megen, near Eindhoven, last Sunday, February 8th.
My personal collection contains over more than 100 bikes and/or projects from the eighties.
Also clothes, parts, posters, magazines, VHS-tapes, trophy's, helmets a.s.o. are part of my collection.
Some examples;

When ever you're in The Netherlands, please feel free to visit us!

Really pleased you guys have got this up and running, TOP news that Gerrit opened it, he is without doubt the "godfather" of European BMX. Enjoyed many a trip to Slagharen and other European venues with Gerrit and the guys back in the day and really glad that me and dad are both back in touch with the big man.
Hopefully Gerrit's dream of an Old School reunion will run to plan this year and we'll meet at the infamous "Pony Park" :daumenhoch:
Does it still have that MASSIVE globe chair swing :10_2_12: :10_2_12: :LolLolLolLol:

Hello Bob_Acid,
Of course I've heard of bmxmuseum.com! Who doesn't?
But I've a real/live BMX Museum, not only virtual, so I really couldn't find a better name for it than BMX Museum NL.
Old School BMX Museum was to long, all other definitions wouldn't describe the museum better than BMX Museum NL. So that's why I choose this name..... and will keep it.....
Keep in touch!
Reg.

Hello Harris,
It took me a lot of time and money the set-up this BMX Museum NL.
It all started because I was looking/searching for my own 1984 GT Pro Series. I really want that great bike back so I thought "let's go for it!". Till now I didn't find the bike.....
But while searching I've a lot of other Old School bikes which I started to buy. Also clothes, magazines, helmets etc I started to collect.
When I had ca. 25 bikes someone asked me by email why don't you open a website? I explained him that I didn't had the time and knowledge to design one. So this guy, Wim Kuiper, created one for me! So I was very lucky with that. And from that moment on all the things went verry fast. Lot of emails of Old School racers and so on.
That was enough to start thinking about an own museum.... and we did it! So I'm very proud of that! Absolutely!
Now I've more than 150 bikes and/or projects. Almost all the great brands are there:
Skyway, Hutch, Torker, Daimond Back, Redline, Kuwahara, Raleigh, PK Ripper, Floval Flyer, Quandangle, Titan, Vector, GT of course, Mongoose, Profile, Patterson, Thruster, JMC, GHP, Vitus, Hawk, CW, Motobecane, Asco and Batavus (both typical Dutch brands), Zeronine, National Pro, Boss, Aero, Yamaha, Montesa Trail, DP F1, Webco Side Hack..
Still looking for two bikes; a CW Phaze one and my own 1984 GT Pro Series.......
Best regards,
Mike Janssen

Rad BMX is a good name and there should be one for each country as a way to unite all the old radsters.
Yes a bit like ebay :daumenhoch:
