Post by: sid1972 on February 17, 2009, 11:02 AM
Hi folks,

I saved this when I got my GT in 84 (frame is an 83) - never sent it off, are there many about? Do people hang them on their bikes at show's etc.

does anyone know much about the factory??

Thanks again...  :daumenhoch:

GTs huntingdon beach facility came after their Santa Ana, presumably it was larger to cope with their increasing demand.
84 sounds about right as i think that was the transition period, the change in address can be seen in the ads at the time.

Cheers dude,

I have attempted to google but not much joy - I know it's only a piece of paper and worth 0, but I think it's nice to have it with the bike still..

Have you seen many????

Definately a nice thing to have that, never seen one before since collecting!

Surprised it's not Santa Ana in 1984 (particularily on an 83 frame)...but hey oh, maybe they had a warranties office there before moving manufacturing?

Who knows?

A lovely piece though. If you did fancy selling it, I would like to buy it for my good friend Quadrophenia Pete.
