Being a bit dumb here but what does the salt do?

make it taste nicer.
and it fixes the colour.

Might I recommend dying it black rather than blue?
Since yellow and blue make green, I'm thinking that's what you might end up with.
I know black will work. (and black would still look good on a blue build.. and a lot better than green! Well I suppose if you try it and it goes green, you can always dye it black.)
Let us know how it turns out. Pics along the process are always fun to look at.
Good luck bud.

If it goes green i'll take it off ya hands! :daumenhoch:
-
so how did it go?
-
just building up the courage to have a go, dont want to mess it up, may look for an old yellow seat and have a practice run first :-\
