Heres a couple of shots. The frame is chrome under the coating. The colour is black with a tint of ink blue. I believe it has about 6 coats of lacquer on top of the colour (according to the Diamond back site)

The forks in the photograph have been sprayed and you can see they are a bit too blue.

Be great if your guy could have a look. I'm doing some work in Newcastle so could drop the F&F off next time I'm in that neck of the woods.  :daumenhoch:

just  had  some  fantastic  news  today   hear  is  a  email  i recived  from  a  sort  of  powder  supplier

" quote 2lbs I will send it out Monday USPS and send tracking info then. The color can vary greatly depending on how it's sprayed, so you may want to shoot samples first. It is a translucent black, but has a dark blue tint. This was matched to an original frame, but some of them varied in color. "

Hope this helps

so  this  means  if  its  right   roll on  harry  leary  turbo  recoats

GOT  SOME  CLOSE  UP  PICTURES  IF  YOU  LOOK CLOSE  WHERE  THE  HUB  IS  THATS  THE  HARDEST  PART  TO  GET  THE  PAINT  INTO  . IF  YOU  TRY  AND  GET  IT  IN  THERE  TOO MUCH  YOU  WILL END  UP  WITH  MASSIVVE  RUNS ON THE  OUTERSIDE

Hi Neil

The samples do look quite blue. My HLT frame still has a quite a bit of the coating on it so could compare the samples if you could get them to me. I could take some photographs for everyones reference.

Just an observation , powdering tuffs seems a real bad idea . Can't you bleach/dye them ? .

Seems a bit like gashing paint ( after filler ) over a classic motor or VW ( scene I used to know well ) just to show it with basically hidden nightmares possibly underneath , Tuffs were never painted .

Just kinda screams no patience or willing to get it right .

matt  you  couldn,t  powder  tuffs  they  would  melt  mate  . the  white  ones  had  been  painted  blue  and  bleaching  them  was  out  the  window  .  so we  applied  2  pak  poly  paint  .  and  try  and  bleach  orange  to  white  then  dye  them  white  to  blue  . now  that  is  a  task  and  a  half
