Can New School aluminium race frames be stripped off their paint, and polished?
i mean, so that it looks like chrome?
Really Shinyyyyy 8)
Help me :D
-
yea should polish up no problem 8)
-
ALSO, can aluminium frames be taken to get chrome plated?
as i heard that the chrome doesn't stick
any ideas?

i wouldn,t get it chromed as it tends to flake off after a while due to oxidisation, heres pics of my ripper i polished a couple of years ago 8)

That looks great :)
what would i have to do after i have stripped the paint off then?
Polish it and lacquer it?
Anyone know if SBD would simply clearcoat it?
-
its just polished,i wouldn't get it clear coated as it will only flake off ;)
-
But if i dont clear coat the frame wont it go dull?
and would it rust?
-
i would love to see ally rust
-
I would leave it bare. You can always give it a quick polish if it goes a bit dull. I've got a Ripper as well and have carefully filed a few scuffs out of it.

dont laquer it it will flake after a while leave it bare and you can polish with tcut and it wil bling like a pimp
