oh but have you seen the federal four piece? fricking ugly wide bottom bit.. like some mongoloid old flying W bars or something... gotta keep em tight..
they should do original kneesavers shape with modern strength??
-
i've never had 4 piece bars in my life.
-
I ran Castillo's up until about 3 years ago, I'm still getting used to these 2 piece things!
-
Currently running Wethepeople 4-piece Everlites (the ones with the Vee cross-bar).

t'was a joke Ian...as far as i know Dave has no plans for a ramp in his unit...he's too busy to ride. :daumenhoch:

Just sold some mid school 4 piece bars this week. I loved them for the looks but with them being mid school they didn't ride very well on a new school frame with them having very little back sweep, if any at all. Plus they were mid school weight which as we all know was 'kin' heavy!
I reckon I might get some new ones in the summer, we shall see.

wicked bars, look great on mr Steev B. :daumenhoch:
Dave tell us more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was only just thinking about this the day, I really liked the shape of the mid school kneesavers (that used to come with the Haro Blammo's) and the early type Hoffman Love Bars. All the 4 piece versions that is without the extra gussets etc.
And as chris said they should really come in close towards the stem and have a low crossbar the the hole is nice and small..........
Cheers
Paul

nope, you're right.
they were called kneesavers for a reason.
and all bars should feel the same-ish, just look different. how can you 'get used to' bars with extra tubes. christ sake.

Although my comments were expressed with tongue firmly in cheek dude ;) when I did change from 4 - 2 piece it was very different as they were about 3/4" higher, 2" wider, with twice the degree of bend back & about a Lb lighter! I'm sure that these days you could swap out your bars with impunity pretty much as everything is more or less the same now - BIG! :knuppel2: I have ridden bikes with bars that just 'felt wrong' in the past too...
-
F*ck 4pc, they're off already.... they feel like crap and make my bike feel heavy. Like the look of them still though!
