1984 JMC Shadow with Darrel Young forks
Hi bmx enthusiasts
I was given this frame and forks as a Christmas present when I was a teenager. As time went by I was able to
improve the bike with better parts. At the age of 15 I achieved my boyhood ambition and quit racing.I kept the bike in the
hope that one day I may have a son.I have been very fortunate to have a fantastic son and he is now the proud owner.
Hope you enjoy! please leave your comments thanks JMC SHADOW.

they're all mighty fine .... the hutch... no the redline... no the rupe.... arghhhh :wtf: gotta say the rupe coz he's a mate!!!!
-
WOW...
They're some serious builds this month, when I think back 7 years or so these would all have pipped in the top 3. As example the effort on the Raleigh is superb :daumenhoch:
I not sure I could pick just one this time... top work all
Thanks
-
WOW...great bikes :coolsmiley:
Love the detail on the goose...top work ........hard to choose a winner this month so far :4_17_5:
-
love the wheels on that hutch and sweet as just a mx1000 on the back :4_17_5:
-
Wow guys, I love the BOTM threads as I find it incredible that every month the bar is raised higher and higher.
I have absolutely no idea how I am going to vote for 1 bike this month?
Great work all of you, well done. :4_17_5:
-
fook me! i was going to enter mine but i don't think it's worth the bother now! :LolLolLolLol:
some beauties there!! :daumenhoch:
-
Is it a bike of the year final already ????????????????
kin ell
-
For different reasons the JMC Shadow and Redline MXII are ROCKIN' !! ;) :D
-
When do entries close? I need to get some decent pics in the sun but will probably only be able to do that the weekend of the 22nd as Ill be away until then.
Id hold off Glen..... April BOTM is looking good with this lot blowing their beans early doors!
-
Can i enter my dp again as i didnt stand a chance against the mighty leary :'(
-
Don't wanna put a cat amongst the pigeons here...but Justins Raleigh is not what it seems.
Looks to me to be the re-issue Team Aero Pro Frame with the brake cable holders removed. The rear dropouts are identical to all the re-issue Aero Pros..not like the original old school Tange.. I only ask as I'm up close and personal to an 84 Team Aero Pro I'm working on right now ???
And does it make a difference in this comp anyway to what is a nice build? :P
-
Thats correct Brandy Truffle mate !!!
The frame is a 25th TAP wich i striped down and and built back up to a better stanard and colour scheme 8)
Ie : White alloy hubed Tuffs / Tange forks / custom decals /Custom pads / Suntour stem / Chain guard etc etc ;)
So what we do have is still a CUSTOM TAP !!!
-
Well whatever, it's still a great effort! Lotsa work went into that then! ;)
Thought it looked odd compared to my '84 frame. Good Luck Buddy :daumenhoch:
-
Great resto as usual justin keep up the good work buddy :daumenhoch:
-
no one ever seems to enter one of these, but seeing as i've just put some blue skyways on, thought i would....

>:( another month of tough decisions to make ;D
Being a Redline fan, I'm drawn to that, but the Curtis.... , the Kuwi :daumenhoch: and the 'Cute' Burner :smitten:
The Scorpion is a rare bird & The work behind the GT gets a nod too - very nice result from a box of bits! ;)
Then you got the DY and the Hutch...Oh man......dilemmas dilemmas....... I love BOTM. Well Done Guys, me thinks this is gonna be hotly contested this month.
