Cheers dude.... like all of us here I just wish I could go back to those days when life was good :daumenhoch:
-
 .... that tiny 1/4 seemed fookin massive to me back then  ... it was at Ardwick Sports Hall in Manchester sometime in 85. Fiola did a show there with GT and sometime later the Skyway team came over did a demo there. I managed to get my Skyway shirt signed by the likes of Neil Ruffel, Craig Campbell, Hugo Gonzales and Maurice Meyer etc. Still have it to this day :daumenhoch:
The jump into the local Bridgewater canal was sometime around the summer of 83.... was a grin for sure

Cool pics :daumenhoch:
-
Nice pics and bike matey... Big respect!!!! :smitten:
-
Cheers for the nice comments guys... don't know about bein a "bad ass" though... I guess I was reasonably good back in the day but compared to the stuff dudes do now on their bikes it all looks a bit tame! :)
Don't get me wrong, I have pure respect for the stuff they pull off nowadays... but for me seeing a really stylish cross-up, turndown or lookback from the old days still gets me more stoked than the acrobatics they do nowadays! :daumenhoch:
Maybe I'm stuck in an early eighties timewarp but it's Old School all the way for me :daumenhoch:
-
Hey dude.... the footplant pic was taken at Walton Park Sports Centre in Sale, Cheshire... 1984 me thinks!
Would be bizarre if ya knew the place? A guy called Neil Hargreaves, who owned a BMX shop in Altrincham called "American Connection" used to hire out the 5 a side football
courts at Walton Park every Sunday and drag out a quarterpipe and trick ramp for a handfull of us local riders!
