Title: New Rides / Last day before my op!
Post by: mr.magoo on March 10, 2009, 02:03 PM
Last day of having normal movement for a long while....this is what i got upto.......

after Dagenham Regional my Hyper came up all strange, like tarnished/corroded......been told its cos the plate is nickel not chrome....any how after 8 hours of serious elbow grease and chrome cleaner, even started to take the ink off decals on down tube, here she is, not quite unmarked, but best my popeye arm could polish out

also got some new shiney shoes for her to say sorry

and the main thing i wanted to get done, to give me inspiration for a fast recovery......what with all these Dialled MX24R's popping up, had to take the opportunity to upgrade my cruiser, so heres my latest budget build.....

only one pic, cos the batteries ran out, and it started raining........anyone spot the most quality part

appolllo seat and post.....why cant all bikes use same sized tubes  then i could have kept the Haro one on there :2gunsfiring_v1:

other than that :smitten: with both of em, even with their flaws :LolLolLolLol:

just a bit of proding round in my knee, hamstring to replace snapped cruciate ligament, fair bit of cartiledge to be tidied up, and whatever else they fancy doing while they're in there :LolLolLolLol:

hows the back???

had issues with mine for years, best short term was slow release epidural injections, normally lasted about 6 months a time, but can be a little uncomfortable having them done.....

but never been better since disc removal......damn....keep forgeting they said no physical jobs or physical sports unless i wanna be in a wheel chair when i'm older....must remember to erase that bit from my memory, or i'll keep worrying about it for the next few years!!!!

hooray...just got back in the door, and straight on here....al done, not too bad, acn walk without crutches. sort of, but was frowned upon for it by the physio, but did explain not my fault they didn't give me any, how else was i supposed to get the toilet.

big thanks to big kev for collecting me and brining me dinner last night, as i wasn't expecting to be kept in overnight!!

hopefully make it down to gosport this weekend, thought i might clip in my good leg, and let the bad leg hang and race one leg-ged :LolLolLolLol:

all good, doesn't hurt as much as when i did it, and more movement than when i did it....just gotta keep drumming into myself that i've had a major op, and gotta keep to physio insructions, and not do anything to make the graft pull off the bone in the first six weeks.

another good thing, have not had a fag for nearly three days now, lets see if that lasts :LolLolLolLol:

see you at Gosport, looks like a really nice track, really upset i won't be able to ride it, deffo some nice jumps on it :daumenhoch:

Good to read that all went well and you seem to be in good spirits.  Keep off the fags and you'll be even better when you can ride.  Here#s to a speedy recovery but don't rush yourself back onto a bike until it's fully healed.  Humps

get fit again soon niel  :daumenhoch: now you have that intense it would be really cool to see you riding 30-39  :daumenhoch:

You were fcking fast in the old days and you seem like you will be even faster now so it would be good to see you mixing it with the cruisers.

thanks for the support, suffering a little pain at the mo, surprisingly enough :LolLolLolLol: who knows what i can do with that blinkin Hyper, after all the hours i spent polishing out the tarnishing, when i took it outta the garage for the photo above it was spitting, lightly, it was only out for 3 minutes, and its all tarnished again....think the solution's gonna be SBD to same colour as intense, but would rather keep her shinney ;D

Spillers, not sure about 30-39, might be 40+ by the time i'm ready to commence battle proper on a 24"?? but maybe back end of this year may be able to ride some 30-39 in prep?

spritis are high, only thing thats gonna dent that is recover time, if it drags on too long, know 6 weeks is gonna drag, after that we'll see.....

see you all at Gosport :daumenhoch:

thanks for the mail pickle, looks nice, but think its a little too dark a blue for my liking, i'm absolutely lovin the intense blue, think its something to do with being very close to the Escort RS cosworth blue from late teen years, makes me feel young again  :LolLolLolLol:
