Goes live on saturday, just seen the pedals so far and they do look good :-\ :'( :smitten:
http://hutchbmx.com/
Not sure if this will hit originals or not :-\ :'(
(http://)(http://www.radbmx.co.uk/archive/albums/g2/jimmyp12/HutchLier.jpg)
Price rumored to be $199 for 9/16 ???

Have twin pinchers hit the value of OS flights? Cos this is the same thing IMO.
-
There's a discussion about them on here

They are different though m8, they have twin pinch not single. Those pedals look virtually the same as the real thing :-\
-
heard anything about frames or bikes?
-
I dont buy repro stuff but i would buy a set of them
-
Prefer some orig Hutch stuff TBH.
-

Yeah, and tyres? I would love a nice set of Hutch tyres but originals are rather pricey 8)
-
I believe theyre made on cokswallow road.

I believe theyre made on cokswallow road.
cokswallow road, baltimore? :2funny:
These are 'slightly' different from the old ones.
These appear to have 8 pins per face on the body, older ones have 4.
Nothing to stop one getting their file out, but the break in the chrome-plate would be noticed. :daumenhoch:

Is that Near JizzGuzzle Terrace?
-
are the aero speed cranks being re-done? i would have a set if the price is right....

Still, they are a reissue (not repro) that look almost the same as the original. You will always know that these arent genuine originals, and in that respect I would never be happy with them.
I am a mere amateur in building OS bikes, but I binned my twin pinchers recently and my bikes are for my own pleasure (oo-er) only.
I would rather a pair of DX's or 2 pairs of nice XC-II's for that price (£140-ish).

Good Article Glen...sounds like they are taking some pride and workmanship in the goods they are producing. :daumenhoch:
Unlike you know who :D
-
I wouldn't mind a set of Hutch hubs when they do them. :smitten:

It would be nice to see a modern, high spec race frame, or maybe something modern ::)
-
this will set the cats amongst the pigeons for sure....
good on him i say.
least they are being done proper and lessons are to be learned from profiles box cranks re-issue...
aerospeeds here i come ;)
-
as long as its marked up right and the right price it will be cool
-
I reckon it will DEFINITELY make the price of original Hutch stuff come down.

no doubt.
too close to the real thing, therefore the exclusivity quota disappears...a man on a galloping horse, or just walking past your bike wouldnt know.
in fact, most people on here wouldnt know either...me included.

i aint to sure nick, they been remaking MG stuff for over 20yrs and it aint affected the original stuff, depends if you want the real deal or not, just like profiles really
-
soon see :D

The bulk of my collection is Hutch but I'm not bothered either way about values, it wasn't bought as some investment waiting to be sold for when the price is right, but I don't think new stuff will effect it, it's never happened on any other re-issue or repro, quite the opposite, makes people more hungry for the real deal. Buying this stuff for vintage builds will give you quick satisfaction of looking the part but I'm guessing it niggle away at you if your heavily into anal (don't start JT.... ;).) I'm glad it's here though , some bits I'd gladly take like grips and aerospeed discs, pads too. They'll fill the gaps on some fringe builds I can't be arsed chucking crazy money at. But I'm not going to kid myself that's it's proper Hutch though, it's a decent lazy quick fix but fook it, got more important things to spend time and money on.

200 dollars a set seems dear for new school pedals just because they have an old school flavour.
-
They're $189, so say if he adds $25 for post....converts too £155. Stung at customs is somewhere near 10% on bike parts (14% on completes) + VAT comes to £193.75, then the customs handling fee of £8......
£200+ on repro pedals is kinda pricey for us in the UK.....

after reading Mark J 's maths about VAT and customs, if any of my RAD mates that has dealed with me in the past and has confidence in me (well I guess 100% of them do :LolLolLolLol:) is up for saving a few quid, I might be able to offer a bit of help.. LMK
-
not being that bothered about de bruin, at 200 nicker a set you might as well re-pop them yourself.
-
With a bit of luck it may bring down the price of original Hutch stuff for us all to enjoy :LolLolLolLol:
-
maybe im speaking out of line but why so expensive... repops are repops and the pedals were never that expensive BITD so why bump the price up now....
-
cash in the attic...
-
I just remember my Dad going apshit because I'd swapped my Hutch pedals for some suntour beartraps which I thought wer much better feel wise. :-\

4140 pedals will be $189.95/pair, same price as 1983 (estimate, adjusted for inflation). Ti pedals will be $299.95/pair. :daumenhoch:

But Crupi Pro's are a hell of a lot cheaper than that....

And no doubt better as well.

FRom those pictures I think I'd rather be the new Hutch. :LolLolLolLol:
-
I'm glad they're not cheap at £30-£50, every budget build would have them screwed into twin pinch flights taking away any kudos or extra wow factor originals bring to the look of a bike.

True, make em more expensive i say ;)

-

Gonna stick them on on my rider so it will be sweeeeet :)
-
at 200 nicker a set you might as well re-pop them yourself.
And relocate to Northhamptonshire
-
I'd :smitten: a set :coolsmiley:
-
:)
-
I have the same thoughts on this as mark.
I dont think that the new gear will have a detrimental effect on the original gear, as if some one has the new stuff on a hutch or any build it will always niggle them that it is not the original, (my pad set does on my bike) in turn it will prompt people to get the original as and when the cash flow allows. if anything it may push the original stuff up a bit after an initial price drop.
good luck to John i say :daumenhoch:
Only my opinion, Steve :daumenhoch:
-
Going to sweet talk the wife now, see if she will buy me a set for easter :10_2_12: :2funny:
-
She went for it result !!!!! :4_17_5:
Mine are ordered with 5 days delivery.....will post some pic's when they get here :daumenhoch:
-
Payed the same way mate as I thought it would offer more cover on top of my card.
I wanted the 5 day post so didnt bother trying to change it....thought I stood a better chance of seeing them :)
