Title: GT ident needed - OS legal?
Post by: si2 on March 18, 2009, 06:06 PM
I just happen to be in Sacramento this week and I've spotted this bike up for sale - anyone know what model of GT is it??
It looks like it's got caliper brake fitted, but the pic is pretty bad.
I'm looking for a race legal OS bike....do you know if this one is?

any identification would be greatfully received!

Cheers

that looks like an integrated seatclamp - as fas as I know GT has never done that. As for the TT, ST, CS junction that looks like the newer entry level bikes like the Bump & certain aluminium Power Series.

Hope that helps...

Certainly looks aluminium.
The stem looks like a quill version...that coupled with the big bolt on the back of the seat stay bridge makes me think it's OS, but the ally frame makes me think not..
Oh well, might take a look any how.

:) Looks pretty low-end-maybe late-mid 90s? Also looks real small...

Looks like a stripped Wal-Mart or K-Mart special - very low end.
