Someone correct me if I'm wrong:
Old first generation US made were unstamped.
Later models were stamped, and I think on the inside edge of the bottom bracket.
But I'm no hutch expert

very early hutch`s weren`t stamped as my hutch lil shot is a early with no stampings

Early US made Hutch's had no serial #, then in about 83 they started putting the serial # on the inside of the rear left dropout.
Any serial # on the BB signifies that it was built in the Far East

In this order:
Oldest US made (thruster-made?) no serial
Middle US made serial on rear drop out
Newest Taiwan made serial number on bottom bracket.
