Excellent! :daumenhoch:
You might want to turn that sun down a bit though, it looks a bit bright. :coolsmiley:

Love ALL your builds Ramp rat :4_17_5:
They just have the right touches , tick all the boxes and oooooze Ol' skool charisma :smitten:
-
I've been wonderin' how your builds were going Damon - lookin' good mate :daumenhoch:
Done anything with the team yet ?
-
Thanks guys -
John - thought you'd be happy to see me get some new decals :) the Team is sitting on the patio, still got that dodgy candy red spray job on it, you just look at the frame and the paint peels off - I should've complained to the seller, that was not cool. Anyway, there's nickel underneath, but it looks like it's scratched up with sandpaper in an attemp to make the red paint stick - didn't help though. So, I may powerdercoat it and stick all the parts on this bike on the Team frame. I have Black mags and gold parts, what colour would you recomend? I was thinking Black frame with Gold and Red parts...or Candy red w/ black mags and gold parts could looks sweet too.
Suggestions welcome -
Cheers - D.

Strip it off and have a look first - the nickel is pretty thin but if you polish it up and get it sealed quick, you keep the original scars of the bike which I actually think sets them off spot-on. Mine looked like death warmed up when I got it, but a bit of TLC and now I wouldn't sell my 1978 Team for the world :smitten:
If it's too far gone, then the only colour acceptable to powder-coat a Team is candy apple red....... :coolsmiley:

cheers spen - I've heard similar stories with sealing over the scratches with Autosol on Nickel, I'll give it a try - another fun distraction from life.
I know a local place that does Nickel Plating for $165, might look into that too.
-
Loving that one, the tires look huge and i love the crank and handlebars

Here's what mine came up like fella - you can all keep your comments about keeping it to factory spec, as that's not how I build my bikes. I put the best bits I can lay my hands on onto them :smitten:

I think I just messed my pants.... that Team is lush :smitten: :smitten:
Problem is, I ride my bikes, so posh paint-jobs are no use at all :2funny: >:D
Keep me posted on the progress - I've just got some alloy Sugino cranks for mine which will drop the wieght even more - it weighs nowt at the moment already, so I can't wait :daumenhoch:

Yeah Wazza's team is sweeeet :smitten:
Is that what your aiming for then ? You've got the forks so I guess a sprayer could colour match it pretty good :-\
