Still tweaking the old quad, added a Tuf Neck chain wheel, swapped back to silver MX1000, and recently picked up a mint polished alloy Tuf Neck clamp (cheers Jon :daumenhoch:). It suits the build as all parts are blue/chrome/polished etc. But I do love the old hinged clamps.
So what you reckon, sell the white MX hinged (it was the only white part on it other than the forks)?

Heres the bike as it stands ('scuse the twisted bars)...

White is right ;)

Easy solucion if you like the hinged clamp but prefer the colour of the polished one why not strip and polish it :daumenhoch:
-
white clamp, as it matches not only the forks, but the writing on the padset :daumenhoch:
this is an instruction, as opposed to an opinion

WHITE POWER :Great_Britain:

the tuffneck is soooooooooooooo much nicer i think, the hinged clamps look really cheap at the side of that. just needs some chrome forks now...!!! ;D

has to be white for me :daumenhoch:
-
the white one all day long " some things just look right " :4_17_5:

Bah, i'd convinced myself the Tuf Neck looked better cos it matched the Tuf Neck chainwheel, and also the polished stem (not Tuf Neck unfortunately). I personally think stems and seat clamps should match similar to seats and grips.
I sat looking at it for ages last night, but could convince myself 100% either way. Unfortunately your starting to make me doubt myself... >:D :D

White it Rooooit

Would it still be the same opinion from all the white supporters if it was a polished MX vs a white Tuf Neck?
Just interested if its definitely the colour rather than the 'better part' that is swaying opinion?

For me it's a combo of both - I think the white goes well with your colourway and the MX shape suit's the frame - just my opinion though :-X :daumenhoch:
-
its a colour thing.
both desirable items but the white does it for me.
so whichever one was white would be my choice
-
Its quite frankly ridiculous that I am asking really, when just over 12 months ago I bought my first Aero Reflex and fitted a mid school GT clamp and halfords POS wheels.
We've come a long way baby....

White is right!! :D

do what you like. ;) don't take advice of people who do dodgy builds themselves :-X
-
Well guys, due to overwhelming public demand the white mx has gone back on. Now I look at it, it does look better :)
Thanks for the confirmation.
And what this means is that once my LH DC tech 3 arrives (have a copy on at the mo) from Haney it will be complete.
Despite owning Skyways and Rebels (my two fave makes) this is my fave bike. And to think I only picked it up on a whim.
Happy dayz :coolsmiley:
