A mere youngster Brett. Kenny Hunters a lot older than you ;D
I am Angela McGlade from South Africa and i am coming over to scotland on holiday with my husband. My youngest son rides for 17 expert age group and is SA NO 1. I would like to come and visit the track during my holiday and if possible work on finishline. Please advise if you have any races, i will be in Scotland from the 19th June until the end of June. Please advise, i currently have my sa colours for finishline and would like to gain experience in another country. I would also like to enquire if you have bmx shirts for sale and if you would like me to bring some from Kempton Park in South Africa. I hope to hear from you soon.We will wait and see if they come along.
Regards
Angela McGlade
...would be excellent to have some international talent at the track.
Was a real shame about Greg Allan - man it will nip now...... Bear traps eh?...
Another great day for sure. I will be getting back into it ASAP - just too stressed with uni and work etc...
Anyone want to sit an Geotechnics exam for me tomorrow?
Get The Brits in your diary Mark. We will definately be going to that. I'm hoping to take as many of our riders to The Brits as I can. 19th-20th September at Cheddar. David & I will be doing a recce of the track at the Euro round next month.
Anybody Know why the Coaching on the 30th starts at age 10?? our biggest gate seems to be under 10.
richard long
Kenny H can you bring a demo Ripper XLP?!
Hey Paul, I might have sneaked a pass in the exam.... Which to be honest would suit me fine, Especially with all the crap my work have been giving me.... Enough about that though.
As for the coaching session - fecck me, it seems to me that no one looks at Scottish BMX seriously. FFS we do our best and we have a great group and yet no-one want's to help us in any way!
BUNCH OF ARSE!
We have one track! One track for 5 million people! It sucks ass big time.
I've found a potential site which we could build 2 full size tracks, a set of dirt jumps and aclub shop. Is the council interested? HAH! yeah right! I'll keep pushing but there's only so far I can go. Councilors want to be associatted with good things but when it comes to putting in the effort and fronting the cash it's a whole other story......
So what do we do? I'm not sure - there's a few people who talk the talk but don't walk the walk - same as usual.... If anyone is seriously interested in helping me to try and force something then please get in touch. I want more for the kids - lets face it, they are the future and it's what it's all about. Plus it means we get to have a go but I need help in doing this - there's only so many hours in a day and I need backing. If we can get a group together then lets do it rather than sitting on our arses and talking about it.....
As some of you will know, our start gate mechanism has been feeling a little sick recently so it is getting sent back to Mr Phil T, who makes them, for a general overhaul and upgrade to 'random' sequence. Hopefully we'll have it back in time for our race on 7th June. If there are any problems I will let everyone know.
theres a new track opened at Barshaw Park in Paisley
maybe its just a kiddie track. ;D

Where is Nod?
Davey and I checked out Cambusbarron trails just outside Stirling today. Some pretty decent jumps of various sizes, so something for everyone. Nice transitions but the surface is a bit loose, which makes stopping a wee bit difficult on a bmx. Davey ended up in the trees a couple of times and i came damn close too! ;D If the weather is good next Saturday I was planning on going back, if anyone else fancies joining me. Met some MTBers up there and they were a decent bunch, dead friendly and welcoming. No photos from today but, as a taster, here's a couple I found on flickr of Drew Sowerby over one of the bigger sets...

Brilliant day again everyone.
I was surprised at how I went considering how totally crap I felt! One day I might even stay off the sauce.................................................... mmmmmmaybe......
Anyhow, great turnout, some fantastic racing and it's also good that we seem to have more people commiting themselves to helping. It should make a big difference to us. The more people we can get involved then the more leverage we have when it comes to get funding etc.
Great to see everyone having a good old laugh, hopefully I can make it over on Sunday.
glad it went ok
cant wait to see the scots down at leeds for some kenny drunk talk
ha ha
sozz kenny :-* :-*
russ
can we have subtitles on the others :LolLolLolLol:
Balls! it's my nephew's birthday on Sunday and there's a BBQ at 2pm. lots of food and yep, you guessed it - beer.......
I'm thinking about going to the racing anyway but I suspect the racing won't get going until about half 1 or so..... hmmmm, might not be able to actually....
BUM!
Aw rite Rab.
I got my my Bell helmet from Alpine bikes St Georges cross last year for £55.
Davey.
Yeh sounds like a good idea regarding OS v NS...
As Tony said, i ended up, right at the last minute today buying a NS "redline pro" much to my disapointment!
Had my heart set on the NS Kuwahara Laser Light team bike, but i am really only wanting to ride OS with my mates from yesteryears...
With that in mind, I did not realise i couldnt ride OS on a NS bike... so rather than drag out me getting a bike any longer, i have have decided to buy two. a NS bike to get me practicing and at least racing whilst i find a decent OS bike.
I have have made a post in the "WANTED" section of this site and im trawling the net to find something to suit me, bearing in mind im a bit of a bit taller than Spen! ::)
I am going to pop into Dales on Thursday afternoon for some body armour, shinnies, Gloves and Helmet, so will see you all Thursday night for gate practice. This is were you will all get a bloody good laugh at my expense! :D Just remember ive only had a go round the track a few times on Kenny's bike... before that it was 20 years ago... so thats my excuse and im sticking to it. :-[ oh and ill have hay fever... and did i mention the 20 year thing? :coolsmiley: ;D
anyway, anyone got any good suggestions where i can source a good OS bike online?
I cant remember who it was i spoke to last thursday, maybe bret or mark, but one of you had a matt grey Bell helmet. Did you buy this through Kenny at the club? If he sells these or anything else anyone can recomend please pm me or reply here as ide rather buy through the club if they have what i am after. which would have been the bloody redline i bought today, but ide never had got it in time for thursday due to me leaving till last minute yet again. :-\
see you all there!
does anyone know Kenny Scullions email or username on here. i'm wanting to find out what type of bars it is he is using on his Ripper?
Ive a funny feeling this redline i bought will have its bars sorta turning into me and i cant run bars like that and being out the loop so long i dont know of any by brand or size etc to order online...
anyway, the ones kenny has suited me fine so thought ide ask in case i need to order a pair for sunday. :)
Seriously though, I have a pair of Kona shin and knee armour if you want them? Brand new, they just don't really fit me...

They are One 8" bar tender bars - I just got mine from Kenny H this week - they are very similar to the Slam Bars but at an Excellent Price. Contact Kenny Hunter to order a pair :)
yeah im gonna fire over with innes, might have a go in 17+ to see how i fare, although i have a silly 29/10 gearing.
It's gonna be mad. 5 moto's. I haven't done that since 1983.
Me, David & Marc are off to Cheddar this weekend where i will be doing battle in the 30+ both days at Rounds 13/14 of the Euros. Should be some tough racing but looking forward to it. I'll keep everyone updated with what injury I manage to pick up this time ::)
Hi guys, Just a quick one to say I'm impressed with how things are going up there, the track looks as good as ever and the site is superb, a sure sign that Scottish BMX racing is heading in the right direction under you guys keep up the good work and hopefully I'll be back for another stint at the track in the future! Stu Dixon
Hello Kenny, I was up at the track today, 24 years since I first photographed you. I was amazed at what I saw. It was great to see so many people of all age groups enjoying themselves. Thank you for the interview for our DVD 'Clydebank Through A Lens' which will have footage of your tremendous club on it. Thanks OwenWork on the BMX Racing Scotland social site can start now. You will all receive an invite to join in the next few days. :daumenhoch:
i know the gate won't be running on Thursday but I'm heading over anyway, anyone else fancy it?
Great videos Rab/Teamsano
Good fun on Sunday.
Have you seen this -http://www.interneting.co.uk/mussbmx/
Got a call from Sean Boyle tonight as he went for a look
I didnt even know the new Musselburgh track had started being built but seems like the cooncil has begun in ernest without contacting anybody.Going along tomorrow myself to check it out. ;D
QuoteBeing at Brighton Worlds to see Dale & Jamie win 20" & Cruiser titles. And latterly, every time Kevin Rettie comes to Clydebank so I can beat him and make up for all those times he kicked my ass in the 80's ;D
Am absolutely gutted to hear about Steve falling - the tar is fkucin hard to land on - particularly as he's just come back after another bad injury..............where have I heard that one before?! Hope it's not as serious as it sounds.
Rab don't let the triples get the better of you - some things weren't designed to be jumped on some tracks; if u look at them the 2nd & 3rd lips are higher than the first and there isn't enough space to get a pedal in between the doubles and them; without losing your composure! Leave them until we get the JCB in to make the first lip way bigger for the Scottish Open in Sept?
Ian when u going to Muss for a recce - Sun or Mon night? - you're probably already training there on the XLP!!!!!
How's the track shaping up Ian, are there still a few bits you've yet to finalise the plans for?
Can't believe you've almost destroyed your Redline
Time to get a ONE methinks! ;)
even though you had clip pedals
Your right bret... even though you had clip pedals
Strike that last post - Unless Kenny's made a mistake!!! and the next race is actually on the sunday (26th) as usual and not saturday, as I'll still be in Ibiza.
Kenny?
We'll soon find out when the next race will be a replay of Nairn 1988 when we all jumped ship from 16+ to superclass - NS is gonna have 3 full motos!!
Robert will be in Ibiza for 2 weeks and will be back on the Sunday 26th - think at 2pm so he miss this one. I will come along though and maybe take part this time as the racing did look good at last meeting. Will blag roberts ride and take part in the new school 17+.
just bought masel some body armour 661 mainly for the 1st weekend at Fortwilliam but think I'll start using it down a C-bank guys especially if Rabs next to me on a jump....
Rab have you looked at backflips yet?????
i think we should have a prize at the end of the year for most stylish crash and points for each fall what you think guys???? :LolLolLolLol:
