convert the old unsealed plastic hub tuffs to sealed bearings?

anyone done this? was gonna do a bmx up for the missus and she likes the pink tuffs i have - however as they don't run that smooth is there a way of converting to sealed bearings. just curious at the mo.....

There must be something wrong with the bearings? have you had it apart? The difference between a good set of free bearings and a set of sealed is nominal.  ???

My ally hubed ones need doing....maybe me & the denster can hold hands & do them together ?  :)
