Title: chrome removal/painting?

i have a couple of rims hanging around and the chrome has gone pretty tatty would like to strip them back and respray them but how would i remove all the chome first is there a special prosess for this or simply peel it off? :crazy2:

I aint entirely sure, but if you wont to spray them then i would have thought you would only have to give them a good rubbing down and then use a decent primer first then spray. other peeps will prob know better.  :daumenhoch:

better to completely strip them, get the prep wrong and the finish will look shite....   :daumenhoch:

I think to strip chrome you need to reverse the chroming process :daumenhoch:

or just throw rocks at it like i did my robbo pro bitd!!the chrome flaked off pretty quick after that!!! :LolLolLolLol:
