Guy was selling the RL20 with some PL20 forks with the thinner tapered legs i need for my PL20..

I have a near NOS set of RL20 forks with the beefier legs to suit that exact frame..if anyone here grabbed it and wants to trade let me know...

Messaged the guy he said he had an offer of 600 quid and took it for the lot....

The RL20's came with tappered forks mate  :daumenhoch: the ones on ebay look about right for an early 84 rl20 , like mine  :daumenhoch: the later 84/85 forks had peg holes  ;)

I know Paul....... but the ones he has are the thinner PL forks from an 82 Proline........ you can tell from the flat drop outs.

The RL's had Fatter Beefier legs than the PL's.... the 84 RL forks had no forkstand bosses...the 85s onward did.. but all were tapered, yes  :daumenhoch:


I have 7 pairs of PL/RL forks here in varying states from 81-86...... I know.     :LolLolLolLol:

Just looked at pic 5 and your right , they are for the PL20  :-[ you can tell because the ones that came on the RL20 look like they have been rammed into a wall and are a completely different angle .

 ;D  Haha...Shut Up, it's your fault I got the Prostyler bug in the first place after seeing your beauty  :smitten:

Trouble is along the way buying Redline F+F they hardly ever come with the right forks after people snap the dropouts, so as they are sold on people think what they have is an RL fork but in reality its a PL fork....... and vice versa.... only when the 85 has the bosses is it definate...


I'm going to do a thread on all this soon.....based on all my research this last 18months.... to a non Redline fan it'll be as boring as one of Jimmy P's NWO threads..  :LolLolLolLol:

I know what you are saying about them getting mixed up.Dannyboy searched for ages after trying to get mine for ages to get an RL20 and when he did get one it had the PL20 forks on it  :-\ he only realised when i pointed out the angle was wrong ::)
