I think Gen 1s are overpriced, it's not like there are only a few of them, like some other F&F ::)
-

Not so sure bout that one looking at the pics? :-\
You've got mine up there ^^^^
-
Blimey yeah, I never paid notice to that white one but it does look like a gen 1. Wonder if its chrome under that paint or not? ???
Betty, your one is nice dude, for that price it should sell quite quickly. You got many watchers on it? :)
-
That white one looks a bit suspicious, though authentic, why is the seat tube in without a clamp on? Probably stuck, I reckon?
Beware.
Ad :daumenhoch:
-
Gen 1. Well a gen 1 looks good there's no doubt, but they are only worth as much as anyone wants to pay. Most of us will agree that they are overpriced by quite a large margin, probably due to chequebook heroes, and while there's nothing wrong with that it lifts it out of the price bracket for most of the rest of us.
As much as I like the Gen1, I could quite easily live without one, simply because it was Bob that made the bike...not the bike that made Bob. :daumenhoch:
Ray.

I mailed the seller for the serial number when that one was first listed, he said he would only reveal the serial number to the winner... that made me a bit suspicious, i mailed him back saying people would be reluctant to bid without knowing the serial, he's since added part of it to the listing
He had a bit of an attitude, said the frame could be cloned if he gave out the serial number... :wtf:
Mine has 26 watchers at the mo.... probably all peeps off ere seeing if it sells... :D
-
If anyone is interested in buying the first Gen 1, the one for £2000 then i could pick it up, only 5 miles down the road from me :)
-
IF I WAS GONNA PART WITH 2G FOR A BIKE I'D WANNA SEE IT FIRST BEFORE HANDING OVER THE MONEY!!
-
IF I WAS GONNA PART WITH 2G FOR A BIKE I'D WANNA SEE IT FIRST BEFORE HANDING OVER THE MONEY!!
and want it delivered in person for that money.... though i wouldnt sell mine for a penny less.......
-
I dont think anyone can argue about the price really. They are the most iconic freestyle bike in history made by the fella that invented the sport. Its fair to say that their are a fair few of them out there now, but they were in production as a sinlgle model for a relatively long time (compared to the us made 84 generation framesets) so no suprises. If you can find an early version in nice og nick then thats got to be worth top money.

hahahahahahaha....nice try dom........iconic.... :2funny: :2funny: :2funny: :2funny:
-
i think people have seemed to reach a high asking margin for them due to the origins as Dom mentioned
To be honest , they are only worth what someone wants to pay
which unfortunately is less than people hope for
a bit like E.T kuwaharas
I got mine for a lot less than people ask and sold for less too :)
-
the 2k one does look good, just needs those z's swapping for some white or blue tuffs if cant afford grafs
even thought about Bettys one,
The white seems good value if ok.
never seen so many for sale at once :LolLolLolLol:

-
Yep... i got the same sort of sh1te off him... :idiot2:
When i listed mine i made a point of putting the serial in the listing and taking a close up pic of it
You've come across well there in the questions, i wouldnt buy one without knowing it was genuine
Ebay.... full of numpties... :D
-
What's the big deal about someone trying to Clone the Frame :idiot2: If someone was going to Clone them the stamping the serial number would be the easy part, if I were selling mine I would list the serial number too.
& looks like the BB cups were left in & got painted ::)
