Finally got the flight arms back from the chromers, so I did a bit more assembly tonight.
Comp III's swapped for Comp ST's
Redline 401 - 180mm cranks
Shotgun II seat
Grab-On MX3 grips
Skyway Tuff pads
Also popped a flexfighter on there. Any opinions on these ? Good or not good ? I'm thinking it might look better if I cut it down a bit ?
Still a few bits to do like, sort out the crank arm bolts, and sort out some pedals and a chain.

Is that a real Gen1?
Yes (http://www.radbmx.co.uk/archive/albums/d158/gmac-01/tongue3.gif)
-
Oh, just wondered as the gusset weld looks a bit 'poopy' for a Gen1 - has it been re-welded?
-
It's just where the camera flash reflected off the chrome. It's actually a nice neat Haro weld :daumenhoch:
-
Looks nice Guy ,
I'd shorten the flexfighter
Matt
-
Looks sweet as Guy,get a bit of wire wool on that flite crank bolt thats all ;)

Ah, I see it now, sorry about that :uglystupid2: Looks great anyway, I was thinking of buying one of those flex fighters, but I think I'm going to make my own.
Do me a favour, PM your serial number, please? I started a kind of 'database' of Gen 1 serial numbers in an attempt to decipher them (without much success so far) ::)
-
Anybody got one of the very first Gen 1`s which never had the welding between the bottom of the gusset and head tube ?
Btw one of mine has the serial number TPP1748F, but you`ll have to ask ORB for the other :daumenhoch:

I was told this would remove rust.... steel wool and some wd40... i didnt try it as i thought they were pulling my chain. Wont it scratch the chrome to death?
-
Btw one of mine has the serial number TPP1748F
Cheers Billy :daumenhoch:

Hi, It looks sweet Guy.
Not too keen on the flexfighter though.
Grafight X Pedals would look a minter on that.
(NB - You get many different grades of wire wool, you have to get it from an old boy diy shop and get real fine! NOT the halfords 5 different bits in 1 bag stuff, that is still course)
Nice build, you just goota love a Haro.
Whats the Haro serial codes mean?
I know that T is Torker Built, F is Freestyler, M is Master etc, but what is the PP?
J.
-
pp=piss poor.
only joking! :LolLolLolLol:
-
but what is the PP?
Ah ha, the $64.000 question :LolLolLolLol:
-

Nice bike mate, looks great.
lovely touch... the mini cable tie ( cool find )
Blue or chrome rat traps... it's the only pedals for that bike, and don't polish that chain wheel, it's supposed to look like that :daumenhoch:

J.
-
Do you have Masons Gen 1 serial number
No, I don't.
-
Mr Moose
My Gen1's serial number is T QQ 1462 F.........and the bonus ball is..... :)
-
Looking at this and the partial serial number is clear, from what I have read on this post my guess is it isn't a gen 1.
Please let me know all you fella's with the real McCoy. Ohh and if any of you could post a pic of the forks, where the legs join the steerer tube I'd also be grateful.
Regards
Paul
