Title: SKYWAY ALI HUB REPLACMENT
Post by: PRO THUNDER on April 23, 2009, 02:10 PM
I'VE GOT A COUPLE OF PAIRS OF ALI HUB BLACK SKYWAYS FOR RESTO, ONE SET SEEMS TO BE OK BUT THE OTHER SET ARE ALL PUSHED IN FROM BEING OVER TIGHTENED.  I'VE GOT THE REPLACMENT HUB KIT TO REPLACE THEM WITH BUT NEED TO KNOW IF I SHOULD USE THE NUTS AND BOLTS THAT COME WITH THE KIT OR SHOULD I RE-RIVET THEM, IF SO WHAT AND WHERE CAN I GET THE RIVETS FROM.

If the hubs are just pushed in, first try to get them pushed out, it has been done  :daumenhoch:

If this does not work & you bolt a replacement hub in, you will devalue your wheels, so do this as a last resort   :)

It looks like the hubs have been re-riveted in the past and have been badly done.  Can you get rivets that will fit and do the job so that it won't make them look shite and de-value them? :-\
