Title: Dia Compe Tech 3 levers.
Post by: southern andy on April 28, 2009, 08:24 PM
I won a pair of Black levers off the bay for pennies, i knew they were tarnished and have sent them off to Custom colour above for re-annodising.

Question though, the little springs, are these readily available or how easy are they clean up, they have surface rust on them. The screws are also rusty but i assume they'll be easy to replace. its the springs though.

EDIT>>>>>>>>> can you believe it, the photo doesn't show the screw.  :LolLolLolLol:

Are the pivot pins steel?
If so, they wont be there when they come out of the anodising bath.  :-\

Wouldn't know Alex, Paul from Custom colour who advertise on this Tech and Resto page said it wouldn't be a problem when i asked about those bits.

In his advert above it shows a few Dia Compe brake levers that he has done.

You can get the springs off ebay. I got a hand full a few years back for 99p.
