They are going to be in short supply guys, so if you fancy one drop me a line.
Full specs, colours, etc will be made available soon - just waiting for the nod.
I previously said I wouldn't ride one...gotta admit I was wrong, it's proper new school and a honey - I'll be building one up as soon as they land!

Sweeeeeettttt!
-

-

-
OMFG that is a thing of beauty, and to have a near 40-year-old say that about a brand new bike is a real achievement. Show those numpties at Haro how to do it that's for sure :LolLolLolLol:
Please give us a clue on what they will cost, as i think I just pee'd myself a little when I saw this - it ma be time for me to graduate to new school after over 25 years stuck in the seventies and eighties >:D
Dave, I think a pm is on it's way mate :daumenhoch:
Spen
-
stodgy ol'boy,
if they come in a short enough tt size then I have GOT to one... our friendship releys on this :daumenhoch:
-
Looks nice but not into the built in pivi seatpost, but still in proto mode I hope the final item has normal seatpost, gyro tabs, and a 19.5 t/t option would be :daumenhoch:
Steve.
-
18 inch tt and 13 inch rear triangle. go on ask them for me dave. go on.
-
That could defo bring me back from trials. If there's a list - put me on it :smitten:
-
KEEP COMING BACK TO HAE ANOTHER LOOK
nicest new school ive seen ever.closest best was keep it lit ades 38 special
-
If the seat tube is the right diameter, it might be posible to cut off the pivotal bit and turn it into a "normal" seatpost setup. Not as nice as having it like that from new, but might be a way of running a higher seat on that frame :-\
-
Work of Art. I got 1 Sub but it will soon be joined by 1 of those. The guys at Subrosa know there stuff. :4_17_5: :4_17_5:
-
I likey.... a lot... :smitten:
Alex has already said what i was gonna.... just cut off the pivitol and run a regular seatclamp/ seatpost if the idea of a slammed seat doesnt float your boat... :daumenhoch:
Someone on ere did it with a Sunday frame.... Cant remember who though... :-\
-
It was Rob (Rarman) i believe! :daumenhoch:
If it comes in Chrome i could be tempted. ???
-
I dont usually go for the new skool stuff but that is sexual.....Quite like the seatpost idea too
-
get rid of the built in seat post and it rocks!
gyro tabs would also be nice.
I think SBD is gonna see every one of these at some point in the near future ;)
-
Yep its the daddy alright. I am expressing my interest in one of these Mr Stodgy :4_17_5:
-
The words Full and Circle spring to mind!
I like it because it's different, but other than being different, what other purpose does it serve? Only being The Devil's Odvocate so don't shoot me down in flames. Does it improve strength? Save a little on weight whilst maintaining strength??
I hate the seat post thing with a passion though!!
Daz. :daumenhoch:

This is the final production item Steve, so no gyro tabs I'm afraid, but they are real easy to drill and tap (billy p just did it on a normal Pandora).
Daz - not sure it serves any purpose than something a bit different...everyone moans that all NS bikes look the same, well now they don't - and still they get grief. LOL.
-
hats off to them for doing something a bit diferent........looks the nuts! as for the seat post thing? well as nearly 90% of seats now are all Pivital and 95% of people have them set at that level......i guess it saves on weight and serves it's purpose.
good on em :daumenhoch:
-
Oh sh*t, I told myself that my fbm was gonna be my last new school ride... then this comes along!
I really like that.
Only thing I'm not dying about is the removable brake pivots, but I guess that's not a big issue.
I still want one ;D
I can see some real nice builds showing up on here based around that frame...
Brian :daumenhoch:
-
that's cool.
:daumenhoch:
-
Dave, congrats on the scoop - this is the PERFECT radbmxshop frame - im sure tons will sell to us 'more mature' gents of bmx.
I love the twin toptube, if I remember correctly the last 'proper' bike to have them was the Dragonfly Double Dynamite. Im not including all those Haro retro pieces of sh1t.
Thanks for giving us the heads up on these frames , and well done once again on the scoop!
steve

Well drilling for Gyro tabs is not a big job.
Now after I see someone cut the seatpost off and use a normal post & Seat I'll seriously think about it.
Now just need to wait and see t/t sizes.
But on a whole I like it. :daumenhoch:
Steve.
-
I'm certainly not criticising them for being different, on the contrary, I applaud them.
I was just asking the question as to whether there was another purpose other that being different.
Daz. :daumenhoch:

Just Frame Jay, matching forks and bars will also be available.
I'm not allowed to say anything on frame sizes and spec yet.
-
Looking at the way the tt meets the headtube, I dont think you're going to be able to drill and tap gyro mounts.
If it had a normal seat tube and gyro mounts, I'd have one!

i reckon you just about get away with it with the giro

i think youd have to put the mounts under the tt if you did, they meet the headtube in the same place as the mounts on my fly.
could work i suppose.
-
i like the machining on the bridge, and i like the fact its not a clone frame. Other than that i don't like it personally, reminds me too much of the dragonfly double dynamite frame and i wasn't a fan of that. I may feel different if i saw it in chrome, or maybe torker yellow with all black parts
-
Stupid question, but is there going to be any brake mounts??
If so, put me on the list. :daumenhoch:
-
Robbo if you look closely at the pics you will see there are removable brake mounts.
Steve.
-
Thanks mate, swear I need glasses!! ;D
-
Secured mine. 8)
-
A little update...
Subrosa believe it is possible to cut the pivitol off and run a normal seatpost - they are just double checking.
Gyro tabs are being considered but nothing promised.
:daumenhoch:
-
Great news Dave,
Now seeing as you seem to have the POWER ask them for a 19.5 t/t and Translusent Red Please and I'll have one !!!!! :LolLolLolLol:
Steve.
-
18inch please dave.
-
can you ask them to make my nob bigger dave?
-
Well I never thought I would ever be interested in a double TT frame but yes that is nice ,what I like about it is the double TT serves no purpose as its not for standing on, the two tubes combined are not that much wider than a n/s single TT.
Be interested what the weight is as maybe they have done it to save weight.
I like the brand too.
-
i think it looks great, but, it'll be interesting to see how it holds up strength wise.
(see how i worded that, so i don't start a riot?)
-
at a guess, surely they'd only be available in black, white or raw given that that's Subrosa's design ethos

GOGO atleast if they break you can leave Unknown alone :LolLolLolLol:
(Harmless Jest)
Steve.
-
how many masters did u see break at the seat-tube tho stevie?
-
Very nice! :smitten:
-

I know GoGo twas only a little jest my comment before, hopefully these will be stronger than masters, I personally like the looks alot :daumenhoch: well done Subrosa for making something different.
Steve.
-
Masters and Sports broke because they only had a single plate at the seat-tube whereas the RL20II had an oval tube. Soon as Haro flipped to that design the problem seemed to almost disappear.
But I really like this subrosa frame. it's different and that's a good thing as they do all look the same now. Mind you a lot of the old frames had stuff added for the sake of it. i'm not a fan of that approach but surely the frames can be made to look more distinctive the the obligatory double diamond, even if it just in the details.
-
It looks nice but what is the purpose of twin toppers these days honestly? I can't many people doing surfers etc...
-
by the same token you could ask "what's the point in having different colours?"
not trying to start a fight, but as long as it doesn't harm the performance, and some people like the way it looks, why not?
you don't have to buy it :)
-

what was the point of twin top tubes or standing platforms EVER?
honestly, name me ONE trick that you needed these for.
i used to laugh at standard making bikes in 1994 with standing platforms, what a joke.
-
Surely Subrosa are not thinking people are gonna use the double top tubes for standing on!
When I started riding again in the mid 90's I would only buy a frame with a platform (just because its what I had always rode)
I soon realised there was nothing I needed the platform for.
Today I always find myself thinking that 80's freestylers would have been better off running single TT race frames instead of the horrible freestyle frames we rode.
I had loads of double TT frames bitd but my favourite frames were a single TT Firebird and a GT pro..
-
I think Twin Tubes are a good design alternative or even 2 into one. It's when you got the luggage rack on the back that it seemed stupid. :LolLolLolLol:
-
Well call me old fashioned but I love a double t/t or small platform, to me it makes it look like a "FREESTYLE" bike single t/t are race bikes to me.
Steve.
-
Hey guys, spoke to Stu last night...Subrosa have confirmed that you can cut off the pivitol mount and use it as a standard seattube (with a little slit mod), but definately no gyro tabs...
:daumenhoch:
-
Who cares just hurry up and get me one.

Any idea's on TT length's and colours?
well most of there bikes are black white and raw so prob the same lol
-
Looks cool, be interesting to see how they hold up. Look pretty sturdy though.
Certainly got everyone's interest!
-
Any idea's on TT length's and colours?
I have indeed.

I think I'll need to get one of these. very nice. how much are they Stodgy?

looks a little like the old morales frames, would definately be nice in white, shame about the gyro tabs though . definately one to watch ,
cheers to alex for pointing me over here ,
-
Specs have been confirmed, but prices are still up in the air as the exchange rate fluctuates so much.
Expect them to be the same as the Normal Pandora though...
