unbelievable!!!
Was thinking the same Nick...his stuff seems to go big.
But that might be just because he's trusted for top-drawer condition and items. Who knows.
Good on him though.

I think its exactly that

I only paid £50 for my DX Cranks, about 18 months ago ! :4_17_5:

Deffo mate.

unbelievable!!!

but for shill bidding to work - he has to have a big bid already on it... otherwise he'll just keep winning the stuff himself...so it still means that there are people out there ready to pay that much...
-
not really.
it just gets relisted due to non paying member...
you then have a good idea of how much the last genuine bidder was willing to pay so you dont out do yourself the second time around...
shit but true and i know 3 members on here who have historically admitted to doing it using there mates to shill.
reason i dont buy so much stuff on ebay....
i just keep my eyes peeled on here..tis nicer to sell to a radster than to some unknown on ebay..might not get the best price for everything, but if you know what you want for it and its realistic, it mostly sells here without the need to put it on conbay.
-
fair point....and with all this private bidder nonsence they can hide their mates even more now....
-
Relisted because of non-paying bidder always gives a doubt.... although I guess people like Juan or Haney would not need to play such silly games..
It seems that some US collectors prefer to get their stuff from reputable hands in the US instead of chasing "bargains" around the world, even if they pay twice the "commonly admitted" price :idiot2:
-
thats also a fair point.

I agree , he's been around a while and is so high profile .
Buyers do quite often prefer to deal with people who describe things well , he's never trying to pull a fast one with his descriptions and I would'nt think is so desperate for the cash to start shilling now . Do you think he had the top two bidders in his pocket ? .
The doubters need to keep an eye out for the re-listed stuff before jumping in with comments ::) .
-
dont think its that far overpriced really for NOS gold dx cranks, not so long ago for us that would have been £300 or so (a bargain) just cause pound has crashed looks much dearer to us.

where the hell you get those?
-
Wow! thats mega bucks!
-
Its getting into show season too, rockpool is just round the corner,as is MK09.
The clever sellers are getting rid of nice stuff now, knowing people will pay a tadge more so their bikes are ready in time.
Also, like has been said its always good to buy off respected members, not numpties.
