Title: dying options for faded yellow tuffs?(pic of one "dyed" blue)
Post by: firebird4130 on May 01, 2009, 03:07 AM
Just got hold of some alloy hubbed tuffs, faded from yellow to a sort of greyish yellowy white, is the best way i can describe it, any suggestions on what colours I will get away with dying them? Blue would be ideal but I'm thinking where the yellow is brightest on them it might go green? might just have to go with black if all else fails. Any suggestions???

Yellow or black are really your choices.  They will come well with some elbow grease and dying them yellow again will bring them up like new  :daumenhoch:.  Would be a shame to dye them black, but I can see why you would do that  :).

cheers for the advice, just tried blue to see what happens before doing them black, I think I used too much water for how much dye i used ,some of the wheel looks ok, but on the yellow areas it just seems to have stayed yellow, wonder if saturating in blue dye would over ride the yellow? don't want to waste too much dosh buying blue dye if it doesn't work
