Ive just been doing a tad of reasearch on the looptail nova and have found a few different serial and stamping ect.
I know they were made by tange so some have T and some K but ive found i few variantions can anyone explain the,Just interested really lol.
Mine is just stamped with the serial starting with a 'T'
Ive seen the same but starting with a 'K'
stamped serial starting with 'K' but also stamped 'Tange' and 'Kuwahara' on the bottom bracket
Same as above but with The Kuwahara 'K' stamped on the drop out.
serial starting with 'K' and stamped 'Tange product of japan' on bottom bracket
and finally ive seen a few of the Mk1 cromo burners starting with a T serial. How can you tell these apart from a nova.

I was reading about this on Vintage BMX forum earlier and ss I understand they can have either depending if they were:
'Kuwahara factory' built = K
'Tange frame' and built as a Kuwahara when imported = T
Mine is T3G2344 (Tange/1983/July/No. 2344)
Effectively they are the same thing . . . however I'm still learning so I could be wrong . . . Anyone else know anything different?

Yours is a tange made 83 model. they started stamping like andy's in 84 with made in japan and kuwahara on bb and k's started to appear on rear dropouts and fork dropouts.
There are also frames with KGB on them. The diff stamps depend on when they were made and for what market. ie europe, US, etc. Bodamus may be able to explain better.
