Title: my DK General Lee
Post by: JT71 on May 02, 2009, 05:16 PM
not a resto, just put some bits on to complete it, it's basically as it came from Geoff Cain but i added wheels and cranks.
I might have to change the chain mind, he's let it rust so much there's a fair few stiff links. lol.

DK General Lee frame and I assume DK forks
Primo headset
S&M Redneck stem
S&M Slams, I think
ODi grips
Tech 77s, well hammered.
AD/FS 990 brakes
brake plate
DK seat post and clamp
Haro Dave Mirra Seat
Profile Chain Ring
Profile cranks: cheers to Nick, Rhys, Dave Stodgy & Kuwahero for making these maybe the cheapest profile set up ever.
GT Pedals (found this in me garage, they belong to Wazzer, cheers mate)
Prolite hubs, 48s, from cycle sport
along with prolite spoke and sun rhino lite 48 rims
Cheng shin double V kevlar rear, had lying around
Maxxis dirt tyre
(tyres will be primo v and dirt monster eventually)

Good stuff Joe :daumenhoch:

Loosely on topic - here's a few pics of Geoff riding the General @ Chacombe in 2003 - blue skies :smitten:

love it - i never thought the day would come when a bike riddne on Old Fools and therfore in Ride would be much cherished! Glad it is though, good on ya Joe. Really, what with my log in name and the fact I organise the Old Fools trips - this should be on my wall really....! I used to ride a Mk 1 Gen Lee too - great frames.

great pics Ian, sadly I won't be riding it as well as Geoff though.

I've been looking out for an SOB since Rob's mention so if one is available.  :daumenhoch:

Glad you all like the bike, to be honest I haven't had to do any work on it.  :daumenhoch:
