The tt length is 18", in comparison to the other bikes in the range at the time (which were all variations of the R10) and what else was around in 79 i suppose it is XL.
(and the obligatory forward bars, I just can't help it, it's how i rode as a kid and i understand that as long as they were no further forward than the front dropout you were ok.) 8)

glad those rim decals fit!
;) They were spot on del and set the rims off a treat. A few people made nice comments on how they worked out. Your work on the decals was excellent as usual and was very much appreaciated 8)

Yah, totally unbelievable transformation.
People will have to think twice about talking bad about Raleigh when they see the bullet proof design of this bike in person.
I've always thought the Reynolds tubing was totally underrated and undervalued considering this being a 1979 frame.

It rides large and it's comparatively light considering the era.  I'd definitely call it an XL frame compared to the geometry where you'd bang a knee on the neck of other bikes from the era.

a chrome headbadge?  Wow, totally over the top.  Mind bending.
Cheers!
