Which way round are the springs meant to go? Something is so wrong with this brake :( the arms feel like there's no tension in them
Bru :daumenhoch:
-
if front silver go on crank side
you can see how they would fork if you look at them close
if you pulling the arm away from the rim ,look at what the spring is doing it should try to tighten its coil not undo itself
-
Yep, as you're looking at the brake from the front
Silver = Left
Gold = Right
Tension the nuts in towards the forks (Clockwise on the left, Counter-clockwise on the right)
Make sure your cable is fresh, slip in the inner out, spray with WD40 and pop back in. Do the same with the barrel in the lever.
All should be good!

Yes bru - it is black the right...my mistake as it's bronze but they call it black. LOL.

if your springs are shot Bru i have a spare set. :daumenhoch:

bru ,i know loads and loads of people who never even realised springs ever needed to be handed
so i would think alot run rubbish
-
i think it is marked on the caliper bru

Both my springs are rusty. So which side do i put the rustier (?) spring on ???
-
Whats a front brake?
-
i think it is marked on the caliper bru
it is one has silver on it the other has black..... its written where the spring fits ;)

Front Brakes are where it's at !!!!!!
all the fashion whores will be running them again soon ;D
a couple of years ago everyone ran narrow bars, now they all want wider again, pegs on one minute off the next, Brakes on brakes off etc. :LolLolLolLol:
It all comes round full circle !
a real freestyle bike has 4 pegs & 2 brakes period.
I :smitten: MY BRAKES and I'm only 39 :2funny:
