Title: Profile bearing tube spacer question
Post by: JT71 on May 19, 2009, 07:40 PM
what are the two lenghts?

I assume that the one in my DK was the right length but when i changed the bearings the one i had was too short.

i think i need one about 50mm, but when i cut a piece of seat tube to make one it came out a touch too long.

so i'm going to buy one but need to know what the lengths are for the gold and the silver ones.

Just dug up this info online:

Gold one is: 2.035" - 52mm as Gremlin says ^^^

Silver one is: 2.185" - 55mm

This is strange tho... that info was lifted off the profile website shop (crank spares) but i just went out to look in my box of bits, and i've a spacer tube here out of a mid bb set (it's black) which is only measuring 44mm  ???

Is it a mid or us bb you're setting up?

PM me ur addy if you want this one, just in case, and i'll get it out to you tomorrow.

If it's a wee bit short you could add some washers inside the BB shell as well.

Brian  :)
