Right guys, might be thinking about getting a bike with a 21" TT, problem is im worried that i wont get on with it etc. and whilst i was Burnham national, i spoke to alot guys that adviced me to get a big stem that would recreate the 21.25" feel that im used to... so my question is, whats the best and cheapest stem to this job?? thanks
-
dk xxl or xl , think you have just missed one in the for sale section
-
Its for the 1 1/8 sized head set not 1" :daumenhoch:
-
how about the macneil ones stodgy was selling , i have one on my quad and they have a good reach.
-
Hmmm, but what price we talking? dont wanna spend that much as i havent that much :-\
-

-
Not too bad, might take a look over at RADSHOP :daumenhoch:
-
c they have snap stems 57mm reach on tibbs cycles awesome stems but not cheap :smiley6600:
-
if you're after a real cheap thing then there's some right cheap generic things on the Bay Zack.......will do the job and let you see if it works okay?
-
i have the hoffman stem off my proxl flash was going to put on my cruiser but i can slap the gt one on insted if it helps.
-
S&M race xlt 57mm or profile pro xl
-
The only stems I use on new school bikes are Profile XXL and they are always polished and 90% of the time I run them inverted. Currently running a polished Profile XXL stem on my Revell and it feels perfect :)

How tall are you Zak?
better to get a frame with the correct length TT than try and compensate with a longer stem as they can make the steering quirky
:) DINGO :)

Agree with Mark, too long a stem will make the steering strange. Better to get the correct TT.
