Title: a nice pro xl stem?
Post by: magna13 on May 26, 2009, 10:17 PM
Right guys, might be thinking about getting a bike with a 21" TT, problem is im worried that i wont get on with it etc. and whilst i was Burnham national, i spoke to alot guys that adviced me to get a big stem that would recreate the 21.25" feel that im used to... so my question is, whats the best and cheapest stem to this job?? thanks

The only stems I use on new school bikes are Profile XXL and they are always polished and 90% of the time I run them inverted. Currently running a polished Profile XXL stem on my Revell and it feels perfect :)

How tall are you Zak?

better to get a frame with the correct length TT than try and compensate with a longer stem as they can make the steering quirky

 :) DINGO :)

Agree with Mark, too long a stem will make the steering strange.  Better to get the correct TT.
