Title: Oakley collections
Post by: fouronethreeoh! on June 02, 2009, 11:50 AM
Dusted off my old Oakley race goggles and facemask today and thought why not gather up my other bits aswell.
Bought the goggles back in about 86/87 from a local motocross meeting (Cadders hill, Lyng) where i used to live.
Always liked the look of the facemasks so picked up one a little while later.
Still in reasonable nick, although the elastic is shot, nice smoked lens too.

Fast forwarding slightly, the Frogskins were my second purchase, probably around 1990.
Wore these for a few years, and found the original box a few weeks back clearing stuff from my dads.

About 92 i was getting into mtb's so went for these m frames. Cool as you could change lenses to suit.

There is still a couple of glasses i would like, the original Factory pilot ones that kicked it all off and some Sub zeros.
Anyone else got any tasty treats??

I've had lots of Oakley over the years:

MX Goggles (in garage somewhere)
Eye Jackets (lost an arm so I binned em)
E-wire (found them again earlier this year and took em to charity shop)
T-Wire (dunno what happened to them either)
Romeo/Juliet (can't remember which - got nicked from the glovebox of my car)
Couple of pairs of prescription specs (kicking about in the house somewhere cos the prescription is out of date)
Half Jackets (still wear em)
Crosshair (still wear em)
Radar (still wear em)
Couple of other pairs which I don't know the name of (wore em for a few years then gave em away)

I'll always buy Oakley specs!

got a few pairs myself. Even my normal glasses are prescription oakley's. Bleeding love em! My favourites are what i had two pairs of back in the mid nineties. The eye jackets! About the best design i've seen to date and just about the most copied
