Title: dc mx 1000 does not releasing when pressing brake

hi all i got a dia compe back brake i bought the bike last week and when i press the brake lever closes and does not open its doing my head in i tried slaken the bolt off it still does any ideas ? thanks

Try cleaning and lightly greasing the little nipples (oo-er missus) that the spring clips behind on the back of the caliper arms.  I had a similar problem and it was doing my head in till I realised they were sticking cos there was muck built up on them and the springs couldnt move freely.

i sussed it its the lever, i bought a spanking dc tec 4 lever  other day cause the copy tec 3,s was right stiff which i thought caused the problem then i bought a dc mx tec 4 lever which came this morning and its the same, now i dug out a nos set of dc mx tec 3 set and its fine now but i carnt you them cause there for my mates and there the wrong colour i just give  £15 for that lever in gold its gettin left now  >:(
