Title: chain breaking

Just a quickie .... whats the best way for me to break/shorten a chain if i aint got a chain tool to hand?

fine-pointed centre-punch and hammer . with chain resting on soft-wood gently tap out link rivet.??

Thanks guys ... no centre-punch to hand either though ... did have an angle grinder though ... over-kill maybe... but it did the job!!  :daumenhoch:

lol i'd splash out and get a chain tool, you can find em for less than a fiver posted on the bay  :daumenhoch:
