i expect they predate bmx

:) They made motorbike chains aeons back...

Taken from www.daidocorp.com the manufacturers of D.I.D chains they first started 'roller chain' manufacture in 1951.
Hope that answers your question?

C.o.o.l. :LolLolLolLol:
- one came on the 77 goose i just bought and the bike looks fairly unused - rear dropouts suggest the rear wheel hasn't been off many times so I was wondering if the D.I.D. chain was era correct and maybe even original to the bike ;)
-
Most likely era correct. Many motocross bike companys got into BMX when it only just started to grow :daumenhoch:
-
Yep. DID chains have been on BMX bikes forever and a day.
