Just picked this up, first one ive ever seen.  Proper Rebel nylon fabric race plate.  Bit of a clean and will look the boo-larks on one of the Rebels im building.

Slightly different to the ones ive seen in the old BMX Action Rebel adverts, Rebel logo in a different place (its raised up into the cheques on this compared the those).

Anyone else seen / got one?

I had forgotten all about nylon fabric spongey plates  ???

Not seen one of those since way back  ::)

Well its arrived, and while im a little disappointed the Rebel logo is a decal and not screen printed, im pretty much certain its genuine Rebel.

Compare with the pics in the ad below (I know the logo placement is different - but they look like mock-ups so quite feasible it moved).  The detail of the plate itself is identical, and its too much of a coincidence, that a Rebel decal was placed on one of these plates by accident, so im pretty confindent thats its original.  I can just see Rebel knocking these out on the cheap.

Its cleaned up really nice...

looks like the rebel sticker has been moved so the race numbers could be fitted, you can see the grubby marks in the ebay pic  :daumenhoch:

I forgot all about these as well. I used to have the exact same one on my bike bitd. That just really took me back seeing that . :coolsmiley:

didnt they just supply the decal seperatly in the packing so you could put it where you want? I'm sure some BITD like that, i always remember thinkng they were like nappies!

either way its a good find.
