Just finished restoring another loopy Ripper for my collection ... it landed on my doorstep looking like this
BEFORE - half stripped and in need of lots of time and TLC

Note to self...
Must get mesel a ripper one day..
-
cracking bike that mate looks better than my pk ripper :'(
-
Steeevo.........I stripped and tried to polish a pk recently and gave up......how the hell did you mange that, particularly around the welds? Mine had been blasted before the though so it was pretty hard to get rid of all the light pitting to smooth again, impossible in the welds without smoothing the bead out.
Yet again Steve, your too cool for school, awesome job ;)
-
Very nice, and well done with the gentle polish, it looks great. :daumenhoch:
-
A classic Ripper in THE classic colour scheme :smitten:
I have a lovely baby blue one , and everyone likes the black and gold ones too
but an ally and blue one ,done right, blows the feckin' socks off the rest fella :4_17_5:
Well done Steve :daumenhoch:

Thanks for all your great comments so far guys ... I've not posted any builds for some time but I do have three more tucked up my sleeve now :D

Thanks Mark ... you're gonna struggle if your frame's been attacked with a blaster. I'd have it repainted if it was mine :-\
I was lucky with this one ... that candy blue is the original paint and what lay beneath was totally untouched :daumenhoch:
Are those my old wheels by any chance :LolLolLolLol:
They certainly are Iain ... crikey, I traded them with you donks ago ;D
Very nice Steve , look forward to seeing you at MK bud :daumenhoch:
Likewise Matt ... will be good to see you again too :daumenhoch:
-
Thing that makes me  is how you get em to look so right Steve, pure sex
-
WOW !!! Nice work
Looks like a lot of hard work went into that
-
Top draw restoration work once again Steve - pure class 8)
-
WOW!!!!
It's been a while in the making ;)
Totally awesome result, you're damn skilled Steve :daumenhoch: either refurbing a stem or a whole frame..
Got any pics of the process btw ?
Hard to tell which one is the best from your stable, I just can't pick only one :4_17_5:
-
What a treat :smitten:
-
Pure class Steve, top job as ever :4_17_5:
-
Bloody hell Steve, that's an outstanding. Absolutely perfect. I'd say that has to be the build of the year so far. :4_17_5:
Question - how did you get on with refurbing the dropouts? Did you get them worked on, or did you just polish the crap out of them?
-
:4_17_5: :4_17_5: :4_17_5: :4_17_5: :4_17_5: :4_17_5: awsome :4_17_5: :4_17_5: :4_17_5: :4_17_5:

Question - how did you get on with refurbing the dropouts? Did you get them worked on, or did you just polish the crap out of them?
The outer face of both rear dropouts were badly chewed so I got them properly welded before getting it back for detailing :daumenhoch:
